Tip 5: Listen to Neil Young

Yup, that’s right. You heard me. But not to his music, although his music is, like, fucking bad ass, love neil young, who doesn’t. Old man, look at my life. According to Neil Young and the Internet, a whiff of black pepper helps combat the paranoia and anxiety that a major high can bring.

Smell Black Pepper

Many swear by the black pepper trick. And while it is in a 100% proven, many of the terpenes in black pepper also appear in numerous cannabis strains, which may contribute to its grounding effects.

Tip 6: Take a Cold Dunk.

Of course, it doesn’t make sense when you’re out and about with your friends, but if you’re at home, try taking a cold shower or dump as many ice cubes into a tub and take a mini polar bear plunge. They are 100% scientifically proven to boost your feel good chemicals like dopamine, norepinephrine and many others. They also snap you back into reality by reducing stress and anxiety which are caused by being super duper high.

Tip 7: Take CBD

CBD is one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. It’s non-psychoactive, which means it won’t get you high at all, but it will help you relieve pain and stress. It’s also anti-inflammatory properties can help with anxiety and depression, and it’s great for coming down from getting way too high on cannabis. If you’ve ever had too much THC, the main ingredient in your system and feel anxious or uncomfortable. CBD can help bring those feelings under control.

Tip 8: Cuddle Your Pet

Tip number eight and the best one, in my opinion, is cuddling with your pet when you’re super high, it can be hard to remember that the world isn’t made up of sunshine and rainbows, which can cause you to overthink and start having a bad trip. So pet you furry companion to combat your bummer state of super high mind. Cuddling with your pets helps release endorphins into your system, which are chemicals that make us happy and relax and helps us get over a high much quicker by grounding us in the present moment. With the legalization of cannabis comes increased THC uptake in many different ways.

Don’t Be Afraid

This is not something to be afraid of, but still it’s something to be aware of. Whether you’re a newbie or a veteran user, the best way to enjoy cannabis is in combination with other people, having a great conversation, and taking your time. Don’t just take off running and suddenly now you’re butt naked in front of a 7-Eleven with the hot dog in your hand
