Types of Cannabis Flowers

When browsing the current cannabis environment and culture, you’ll notice that strains are commonly broken up primarily into indicas, sativas and hybrids. Most consumers are pretty much happy having any kind of cannabis in their pocket. They light up without question about what’s actually going on in their body. As long as they get the psychedelic effects of it.

Hemp and Cannabis Ruderalis, what are they?

If you don’t want just any old strain and would like to know what kind of cannabis might help you solve or ease certain conditions you might have. Like insomnia, headaches, or something a bit more severe. First, let’s jump into the lesser known cannabis type, but still beneficial, which are hemp and cannabis ruderalis. Hemp is a species of the cannabis plant family that contains less than 0.3% of THC and has thousands of uses an applications. Predominantly cultivated for its oil and fibers. Hemp can be used for making shoes, paper, ropes and even certain forms of concrete.

Apart from that, its rich oil can also help with certain conditions like atopic dermatitis, hypertension and reduce inflammation, which is approved by the CDC. Cannabis ruderalis is a short and stocky plant native to Asia and Eastern Europe, that sprout small but dense buds, which have low levels of THC, making it less effective than its main counterparts, but still helpful when it comes to consumers looking to treat anxiety, stimulate appetite or epilepsy

Due to its high CBD count. This type of cannabis is much harder to find, But if you’re looking for a more therapeutic approach, try CBD concentrate or extract. If you want to know more about concentrates, go check out the “Know Your Concentrates” video and then come back to this one. Next on the list are indicas, sativas and hybrids.

What is Indica Flower?

The indica species of the cannabis plant is said to cause a body high, which I like a lot. Meaning that users tend to feel effects like sleepiness, extreme relaxation, feelings of couch lock (a massive physical sedentary state) and others. This is precisely why indica strains are mostly taken during the evening, or for people who need a little extra help at night.

What is Sativa Flower?

Sativa’s are reported to give people more of a “Head high”. Sativas are great for physical activity since they tend to provide you with some form of energy. Some people like sativa’s over indica is because it gets them going throughout the day. Others go on a nice hike and some use it for concentration. You can use whatever’s any time, but if you’re an active person who wants to get things done, try using them during the day.

What is Hybrid Flower?

Hybrids are in a class of their own and the best of both worlds. They are a combination of indica’s and sativa’s that are generally regarded by consumers as enjoyable. Hybrids can be both energizing and relaxing, depending on specific strain lineage. For example, you can smoke a joint of a hybrid strain and go to the beach for a lovely walk afterwards. When you feel like winding down, you can sit and enjoy the sunset very comfortably. It can possibly even hit you deeper, like soul deep… “Juliet!!!”
