Good bud smells good

If you’re a cannabis enthusiast, you know exactly what a good batch of bud smells like. It smells like heaven. It smells like the doors of Valhalla just opened up to you. It smells bomb, smells delicious, you just want to live in it. Not only is it texture and taste paramount, but the smell of your bud is one of the most important aspects of enjoying it.

Smell is important

Sometimes that doesn’t happen. As a matter of fact, sometimes there isn’t any smell at all or even worse, it smells rotten or like wet hay. The smell of cannabis can vary from strain to strain and from person to person. Still, suppose your weed doesn’t smell good or has no smell at all. In that case, you should really consider inspecting it thoroughly and throw it out immediately.

I just bought this I’m not throwing it out!

We totally agree with you and trust us, we don’t want you to throw it out either. However, if your bud doesn’t smell quite right, then there’s a good chance that your bud is either rotten, bad or moldy And it can be very dangerous to your health. if this happens to you. Cannabis and we’ve all been there.

Don’t panic.

Not having a powerful smell isn’t necessarily bad, but there’s a few things that you can do to check if your cannabis is okay or compromised by mold or rot.

Look at the color

First, take a look at the color. If it looks dark, brownish green or blackish brownish, that’s probably mold, and your bud is no good. Moldy cannabis will also smell different. Instead of the fresh terpenes we all know and love from our favorite strains, moldy bud smells more like well, moldy! Cannabis like all living things grows bacteria when it gets wet and then dries out again.

Moldy cannabis smells moldy!

Sometimes cannabis growers, whether growing inside or outside, cant always fight and combat the plant’s natural ability to protect itself when it’s under par conditions or even perfect conditions. So what’s the result? The dreaded bud rot. You’ve probably seen pictures online of beautiful buds covered in white fuzz or spotted with blue or yellow splotches.

Does it feel moist?

If you find that your bud has turned a strange color other than green, give it a little squeeze. If it feels slimy or moist, don’t use it. Mold tends to grow on the surface of the plant matter and can go down to the center of it, hiding away in its new moldy kingdom.

Smoking moldy cannabis can be harmful

Smoking moldy cannabis can make you really sick and is definitely harmful. feel it out and do a thorough inspection of it before you spark it up. The growers in today’s cannabis industry go far and above and beyond to bring you the best quality cannabis your little lungs can muster and money can buy. Whether grown outside in the beautiful sun, basking in the glory of the air, or like in a really cool, excellent grow room, cannabis will always find a way to protect itself to survive.

Mold happens, don’t worry

So don’t blame nature or the growers. Cases of bad bud are few and far between, but they do happen. So keep a lookout and like always. With all that being said, I hope you enjoyed today’s segment.
