Places to Eat in Hayward

Acqua-e-farina

A family-owned Italian cuisine restaurant serving customers since 2013, the restaurant owners started their culinary experience in North Beach, where they previously worked in some of the finest Italian restaurants in San Francisco. The delicious food and vibrant culture inspired them to start their own restaurant, where they now serve some of the best handmade pasta with farm-fresh, locally sourced ingredients for you to enjoy.

La Piñata

The local outlet of a 20-year-old Bay Area Mexican fast-food chain, La Piñata, is very popular locally due to its affordable rates, excellent food quality, and massive portions. Places to See in Hayward

Hayward Japanese Garden

Right in the middle of the downtown Hayward area is a haven of peace and serenity. The 3.5-acre Hayward Japanese garden was made with a lot of attention to detail. The garden follows all the rules and guidelines attributed to a traditional Japanese garden and features more than 70 species of native Californian plants and stones.

The garden has all the usual fixtures of a Japanese garden, like a koi pond, pavilions, and a Japanese tea house. With a paved route taking you through the entire garden, this is an excellent spot to slow down, reflect, and maybe even spark up a joint with some pot from our store. You can order from our ASAP Menu and get your order delivered to you quickly, so don’t forget to order your favorite weed edible before heading to the Japanese Garden.

Mural Art Program

While this isn’t exactly one spot within Hayward, it’s a collection of one of the most beautiful sights you’ll see in the city. In 2008, the city faced a problem as excess graffiti was being created all over town. Instead of the graffiti painted over, the city launched the Mural Arts Program, in which artists were commissioned to cover up these tags with their own art. This proved to be vastly effective as not only did vandalism and graffiti reduce drastically, but it also turned otherwise plain and boring streets into beautiful pieces of art and helped provide the city with its own identity and aesthetics. The program also won a League of California Cities Helen Putnam Award of Excellence in 2011.
