THC Binds to Cannabinoid Receptors in Your Eyes
Just in case you’re into that sort of thing. So what’s the science behind red eyes from using cannabis? There are a few scientific explanations for the redness and dilation you experience after smoking cannabis or taking a few edibles. But the main is that THC binds to the cannabinoid receptors in your eyes.

Causing blood vessels to constrict and reducing the flow of oxygen rich blood through your capillaries. The lack of oxygen causes buildup of waste products, including carbon dioxide, making your eyes appear red. Then our body responds by increasing blood flow to our eyes so that they can absorb more oxygen to remove the waste products before they become toxic.
Eye Redness is Not Permanent
But what happens if I don’t take care of the redness in my eyes? But they get damage. Well, they get some sort of infection. Well, I go blind. Good question. Absolutely nothing. Despite all those negatives I just mentioned, this is just a harmless side of the act itself. But maybe you don’t like looking like omega red from Marvel Comics and want some kind of help.
Eye Drops Help Reduce Redness
The number one solution would be to tetrahydrozoline easily or most commonly known as Clear Eyes. Just a few drop in each eye and slowly but surely your eyes are good as new. Wow. Another solution is to wear sunglasses. This might not be the most practical, but it’s the best way to hide your ruby reds Just in case you don’t have any clear eyes and you’re out in public
Take it Easy
Also, not smoking too much in a session helps. The more you smoke, the redder they get. So if you’re out of clear eyes and don’t have any sunglasses on you, just take one or two hits for minimal redness.
